Moscow has almost doubled the production of lighting equipment
In the first half of 2025, Moscow produced almost twice as many lamps and lighting equipment as in the same period last year. This was announced on September 7 on the website of the Moscow City Hall.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, noted that on behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, manufacturing enterprises receive support, including manufacturers of lighting equipment. He stressed that Moscow factories produce competitive products that successfully replace imported analogues. In January–June 2025, companies shipped lighting equipment worth 11.6 billion rubles, which is 94% higher than last year's figure, RIAMO notes.
Moscow Government Minister Anatoly Garbuzov added that there are more than 130 enterprises operating in the capital that produce and improve lighting systems, expand the range and increase volumes. According to him, the products are used in residential buildings, streets, cultural heritage sites, sports grounds and factories across the country, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
