Russian science fiction writer Vasily Golovachev has died at the age of 77. This was announced on September 7 by the writer's widow.

"It's true, Vasily [Golovachev] died," she said in an interview with TASS.

Golovachev became known for his authorship of such novels as "Relict", "Return", cycles "Forbidden Reality", "Smersh-2", "Star Maze". His books have been translated into foreign languages and have been repeatedly filmed.
