Laos allowed redirection of part of coffee supplies to Russia due to Trump's duties
After the increase in trade duties by US President Donald Trump, the Lao People's Democratic Republic may redirect part of the coffee supply from the United States to Russia. This was announced on September 6 by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Songsai Siphandon at the Eastern Economic Forum — 2025 (WEF-2025).
"If the US duties make our products too expensive, and they won't buy them there, we will increase the volume of supplies to Russia due to this," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
