At the China Film International International Cinema (a branch of Oriental Plaza CINEMA), which is located in Beijing, on September 6, viewers shared their impressions after watching the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk".

"I really liked it! Interestingly, the events take place in a real historical period, and the plot twists turned out to be wonderful. It was interesting!" a visitor to the cinema told Izvestia correspondent Viktor Sineok.

Another viewer noted that the film turned out to be very fresh for a historical picture. She also appreciated the good cast and plot of the film produced by Russia and China.

"Anna (the main character is Anna Volkova. — Ed.) played very well, and the main male actor is very handsome. Foreigners are so beautiful," another Chinese woman who watched the film shared her emotions.

Earlier that day, one of the audience, Huang Huanghe, said that he decided to come and watch the film because "Red Silk" was the first Russian—Chinese film in his memory.

Global Time reported on September 5 that the film "Red Silk", which premiered in China on September 4, made a strong impression on viewers in China. The film has already collected more than 689 million rubles at the Russian box office and entered the top 10 highest-grossing films of the year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the idea of joint filmmaking between Russia and China belongs to Chinese President Xi Jinping, answering a question from Izvestia on September 3 about the first retro film made by the two countries, Red Silk.

The film was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat, a company that is part of the National Media Group holding.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
