Russia has signed the Principles of Cooperation with the UN Office for Counterterrorism

Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia and Deputy Secretary General of the organization, Head of the UN Office for Counterterrorism Vladimir Voronkov signed the Principles of Cooperation on the management of voluntary contributions from the Russian Federation to the UN Office for Counterterrorism. This was announced on September 5 by the press service of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in the Telegram channel.

"Agreeing on the Principles has become an important step towards improving the effectiveness of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United Nations in the fight against terrorism. The document establishes a systematic approach to providing financial support to the Office and its core projects, as well as establishes transparent mechanisms for Russia's work with the UKT, which remains the main UN body for providing technical assistance to states in the field of counterterrorism," the publication says.
