Putin called Russia one of the leaders in the development of aircraft and rocket engines

Russia is one of the top five in the development and production of aircraft and rocket engines. This was announced on September 5 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on engine construction in Samara.

"I would like to emphasize that both in Soviet times and today, Russia is one of the five world leaders in the development and production of aircraft and rocket engines," Putin stressed.

He noted that over the past four years, the number of aircraft engines supplied has increased by more than 50%, from 791 to 1,227 units.
