Following talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Uzhgorod on September 5, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed hope for an early end to the conflict in Ukraine and the restoration of relations with Russia.

"We believe that the conflict will end quickly and relations with Russia will return to normal," the Prime Minister said during a joint press conference broadcast by the Slovak TV channel TA-3.
