A health personnel center will be opened in the Rostov Region in 2026.
From January 1, 2026, a regional healthcare personnel center will open in the Rostov Region, which will work on changing the regulatory framework, introduce an integrated approach to graduate employment and the consolidation of medical workers. This is stated in the message of the regional government.
Staffing issues for healthcare institutions were discussed on Friday, September 5, at a meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District. The meeting participants paid special attention to the shortage of staff in hospitals.
As Envoy Vladimir Ustinov noted, despite the efforts made, this problem remains one of the most acute in healthcare. The burden on health workers is growing, a significant part of them are forced to work more than one job, and wages in the industry remain unattractive for young professionals, the envoy said.
As the head of the region, Yuri Slyusar, noted on Thursday, in order to resolve personnel issues in the healthcare sector, the region will retain measures that have shown their effectiveness. "First of all, these are housing subsidies for young professionals and doctors of scarce specialties. Today, this program compensates for up to 90% of the cost of an apartment or house. Since the end of last year, doctors and paramedics who work in specialized BSMPS have been receiving additional payments. Doctors — 50 thousand rubles a month, the average medical staff — 30 thousand. And starting this year, monthly allowances are also provided for ambulance drivers," said Slyusar, speaking at the Strategy 2030 forum.
