IBN CEO Gyawali noted the developed relations between the Russian Federation and Nepal at all levels

Russia and Nepal have developed relations at all levels. This was announced to Izvestia by Sushil Gyawali, CEO of the Nepal Investment Council (IBN), on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 (WEF 2025).

"Relations (of Nepal and the Russian Federation. — Ed.) are developed at all levels - between people, between enterprises, as well as relations between governments, relations between our two countries," he said.

He recalled that Nepal is an exporter to Russia. According to him, the country exports tea, coffee and similar products produced in the state. Gyevali stressed that Russians are delighted with the goods.

He also noted the ties between Russia and Nepal in the field of tourism. According to him, Russians visit Mount Everest and the land of the Buddha. Gyevali shared that Russian citizens also like the culture, nature and history of the state.

The IBN CEO drew attention to the fact that relations between the two countries are developed at all levels, including between people, businesses and governments. In addition, he recalled that in 2026, the Russian Federation and Nepal will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations at a very good level.

Gyawali drew attention to the fact that Russian-Nepalese relations were at a good level in the past, including during the Soviet era.

"Many people came to Russia to study here. At that time, most doctors and engineers, especially in the field of science and technology, received high-level education. There were also many talented people who developed here, and now they are in the National Football Federation," he added.
