Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant completes the test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower gasoline engine ZMZ Pro 2.7 liters. On September 5, Izvestia was informed about this by the company's press service.

The main difference between this motor is the increased number of attachment points around the perimeter of the valve cover and in the spaces between the holes of the candle wells to increase its tightness, the car factory noted.

"The tests are taking place as planned. To date, the engine on the stand has completed 78% of the planned test volume. There are no comments on the tightness of the valve cover coupling relative to the perimeter of the cylinder head and candle wells," the company said.

The upgraded powertrain will appear on UAZ Patriot, Pickup, Pro and Hunter vehicles.

Earlier, on September 3, it became known that UAZ Patriot, Pickup and Profi cars received a new Russian anti-lock braking system. The active safety device was developed by US Innovative Components and put into mass production.

On August 22, until the end of 2025, the UAZ Patriot SUV will receive a two-liter diesel engine. This is a unit with a capacity of 136 hp (320 Nm).

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
