Peskov noted the rapid pace of development of the Far East

The Far Eastern region of Russia is developing rapidly, outstripping other parts of the country. This was announced on September 5 by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, in the Izvestia studio during the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 (WEF 2025).

"This is a huge part of our country, which, thanks to various support programs, thanks to the efforts of the long-term government and the president, is developing at a pace higher than the national ones. And of course, this practice needs to be continued, because it doesn't make the problems any less, there are a lot of problems that need to be solved," he said.
