- Bypass tunnels are being completed in the area of the future Dostoevskaya station in Moscow.
Construction of bypass tunnels is being completed in the area of the future Dostoevskaya station in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, September 4, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
According to him, this is the first new facility on the line after its closure in 1954. The work is carried out in difficult conditions of the city center, therefore, bypass tunnels with a length of more than 1.7 km are being built to preserve train traffic, most of which are built by mining. More than two thirds of the tunnels are now ready.
Seven mine shafts are being built to accommodate the station on the current line, and more than 700 specialists are working on the sites. Maxim Gaman, General Director of Mosinzhproekt, clarified that the sixth shaft is used for the construction of basic structures and will be eliminated after completion of work, and the seventh will become a ventilation shaft.
Dostoevskaya will be located between Prospekt Mira and Novoslobodskaya stations and will provide a transfer to the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. The station will be equipped with two lobbies and elevators for passengers with limited mobility, the website writes. kp.ru .
