Director Volgin spoke about the close-knit work of the team on the set of "Red Silk"
The difficulties with the language barrier on the set of the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk", a project of the National Media Group (NMG), disappeared after a week of working together, but the actors from the Russian Federation have yet to learn Chinese. This was announced on September 4 by the film's director Andrei Volgin in a conversation with Izvestia on the eve of the premiere in Beijing.
"After a week of working together, sign language and everything else helped us, and we became one big team, which was great. Russian Russian was learned faster by Chinese actors from us, to be honest, because they were immediately immersed in the atmosphere of the state, and many artists already speak Russian well enough. We are trying to keep up," he shared.
Volgin noted the discipline of the Chinese team and stressed that it employs great professionals.
"We were surprised by the quality of everything that is here. We shot at one of the largest studios in the world, the Hengdian Studio. And, of course, we were shocked at first, but we were pleasantly shocked by what is happening and how the Chinese country received us, and by the joint work," he summed up.
Earlier in the day, Russian theater and film actor Milos Bikovic said that Chinese actors are more expressive, more dedicated and professional. According to him, the Chinese film crew outnumbers the Russian one.
People have already lined up in front of the cinema hall, many people came to watch the movie and take pictures in front of the poster. Only a part of the audience will be able to see the film today: the film will be released in China on September 6. Today's premiere is timed to coincide with the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China. Student Anna, in an interview with Izvestia, noted that she had been waiting for this premiere, as she was interested in the unusual combination of cultures.
The Head of State emphasized that the idea of joint filmmaking between Russia and China belongs to Chinese President Xi Jinping, answering a question from Izvestia on September 3 about the first retro film made by the two countries, Red Silk.
The screening will take place using CINITY technology, which allows you to watch movies at 120 frames per second, which will ensure full immersion in the action. The largest film corporation, China Film Group, became the distributor of the film in China. The film was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat, a company that is part of the National Media Group holding.
