The DPRK will fully support Russia's struggle to defend its sovereignty and defend its national interests, considering this as a fraternal duty. This was stated on September 3 by the head of the republic, Kim Jong-un, in a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"The DPRK will continue to fully support the struggle of the government, army and people of Russia to protect state sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests, consider this as a fraternal duty and remain adamant in the implementation of the treaty between the DPRK and Russia," the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted him as saying.
In turn, the Russian leader noted a special level of trust in relations between the two countries. He also appreciated the bravery and heroism that the Korean soldiers showed during the liberation of the border areas of the Kursk region.
On the same day, Kim Jong-un announced a new meeting with Putin soon. The Korean leader also wished the Russian President good health and success. After that, they hugged three times. In response, Vladimir Putin invited the head of the DPRK to visit Russia.
Earlier, on August 15, Kim Jong-un announced the joint opposition of the Russian Federation and the DPRK to neo-Nazism. He also added that the Russian Federation and the DPRK have always been "on the right side of history" and have constantly fought for equality and justice.
