Trump intends to expand security guarantees for Poland
US President Donald Trump intends to introduce additional security guarantees for Poland by introducing the US military into the country. This was stated on September 3 by Polish President Karol Nawrocki at a press conference for the Polish media after talks with the American leader at the White House.
"We even discussed with US President Donald Trump and the ministers the expansion of the presence of American military personnel in Poland, which makes me especially happy. <...> I confirm that these security guarantees were voiced both at an open meeting and at a meeting of full delegations," Navrotsky's speech was broadcast by TVP Info.
It is noted that the Polish president did not specify what other measures would be taken to expand security guarantees.
Earlier in the day, Trump said that Washington had no plans to withdraw its troops from Poland. He stressed that the United States is considering withdrawing troops from other countries, but this does not apply to Poland.
