The return of global car brands to the Russian Federation in the future is unlikely. This was stated by the director of the analytical agency "Autostat" Sergey Tselikov.

"I believe that a return of global brands is unlikely in the coming year. Korean brands Hyundai and Kia are among the first to return. Hyundai has maintained its dealer network and continues to supply through the Solaris brand. This example, in my opinion, can develop into a partnership format between a large Western concern and a Russian company," Tselikov was quoted as saying by TASS on September 3.

The analyst pointed out that over the past three years, the Russian car market has undergone a radical transformation. Currently, four concerns occupy 80% of the market: AvtoVAZ, Chery and its sub-brands, Great Wall Motor and Geely.

Tselikov noted that the most likely way to develop the domestic car market is to produce cars using imported components under the Russian brand. By the end of 2025, the total share of the Chinese automotive industry in the market will be about 60-65%, he predicts.
