A man involved in the activities of the RDK was detained in Yekaterinburg.
A local resident involved in the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps organization (RDK, an organization banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as a terrorist organization) was detained in Yekaterinburg. This was reported on September 3 by the TASS news agency, citing law enforcement sources.
"Security forces in Yekaterinburg today detained a local resident involved in the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps terrorist organization. A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism") for posting graffiti in support of the specified organization," the publication says.
A search was conducted at the detainee's place of residence, during which personal belongings, communications equipment and sketches with extremist images were seized.
It is specified that the detainee had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for propaganda of Nazi symbols of extremist organizations.
On the same day, a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was sentenced to 10 years in prison in a case of involvement in financing the activities of a terrorist organization. It was reported that from September 2021 to August 2024, the man made 13 money transfers using mobile applications to various electronic accounts belonging to an organization recognized as a terrorist.
