Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto agreed to strengthen economic cooperation during a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Beijing. This was reported on September 3 by the Reuters news agency with reference to Prabowo's office.

"Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing, and both agreed to step up economic cooperation," the publication says.

It is specified that the leaders met as part of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II.
