Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the British side neo-Nazis in connection with the imposition of sanctions against the all-Russian public and state movement of children and youth, the Movement of the First. She made the corresponding statement on September 3.
"Neo—Nazis," RIA Novosti quoted Zakharova as saying.
Earlier that day, it became known that the UK had imposed sanctions against three organizations and eight individuals as part of anti-Russian restrictions. It was clarified that the list included the "Movement of the First", "Volunteers of Victory" and the Akhmat Kadyrov Public Foundation.
Among individuals, the list was expanded by the commander of the special forces police regiment named after Hero of Russia A. A. Kadyrov of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic, Zamid Chalaev, and the mother of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Aimani Kadyrova. The list also includes individuals such as Natalia Tishchenko, Leila Fazleeva, Alexander Gurov and others.
