The servicemen told the details of the liberation of Kamyshevakha in the DPR
As a result of artillery fire and unmanned aerial vehicles, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) located in the village of Kamyshevakha in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) were forced to retreat, which allowed the Russian Army to liberate the village. This was announced on September 3 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The enemy did not expect such an onslaught and aggressive actions on our part. We didn't give them any free time to rest and regroup. There is a sense of pride — we have completed the task. And most importantly, we have already reached the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region. We completely liberated the DPR from our direction," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Shulga.
It is noted that active offensive actions were carried out by the efforts of the 57th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Vostok group of forces. During the combat work, the soldiers had to overcome a number of obstacles, such as mined forest belts, engineering structures and barbed wire fences.
"A lot of explosive devices were laid out, it's hard to get around. At night, we walked around in [anti—drone] ponchos, illuminated - it was barely visible, but we avoided all these obstacles," recalls a stormtrooper with the call sign Sokol.
He added that there were a lot of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the way of the servicemen, which were converted into machine gun magazines and similar inconspicuous objects.
On August 30, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the village of Kamyshevakha in the DPR as a result of offensive actions. Units of the Russian Vostok group of forces participated in the liberation.
Later, on September 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated the village of Fedorovka in the DPR. In addition, the Russian military disabled three electronic warfare (EW) stations and hit supply and ammunition depots.
