The court arrested a military man for organizing paid air transportation on Russian Air Force planes

The Sevastopol garrison Military Court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a serviceman accused of organizing illegal air transportation of citizens on military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. This was announced on September 2 by the Joint Press Service of the Courts of General Jurisdiction of Sevastopol in the Telegram channel.

"The serviceman is suspected of organizing, together with other persons, illegal flights of civilians on aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which were not authorized for this transportation, for a monetary reward. Thus, the transportation of citizens was carried out on the Sevastopol — Rostov-on-Don —Moscow routes," the report says.

According to the investigation, the cost of flights on these routes ranged from 25 to 30 thousand rubles per ticket. It is specified that on August 22, a law enforcement officer was detained in Moscow on suspicion of committing a crime under paragraphs "a", "b", Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe").

On August 24, the Sevastopol court imposed a preventive measure on the suspect in the form of arrest for a period of two months. However, the court's decision may be appealed, as it has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, on August 24, it was reported about the arrest of the former prosecutor of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Leningrad region on charges of accepting a bribe in the amount of 2 million rubles. It is noted that the funds were transferred from the defendant in the criminal case for assistance in the necessary decision during the trial and supervision of the investigation.
