The proposed Geely models for the new Volga are named

One of the models of the revived Volga brand, if they are based on Geely cars, may be the Monjaro crossover, which is popular in Russia. Igor Morzharetto, partner of the Autostat analytical agency, shared this assumption with Izvestia.

"If we assume that the main model for the future Volga will still be some kind of Geely model, then the most logical model for this is the Monjaro crossover. The car is very popular in our country and, according to its characteristics, fully corresponds to the status and image that would best suit the Volga brand," Morjaretto said.

The current situation in the Russian automotive industry is such that the appearance of a new or revived Soviet car brand is possible only in close cooperation with Chinese car companies, the expert noted.

According to Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, if Geely is the partner of the Volga project, then the Preface sedan and the Monjaro crossover are the most logical contenders for the role of Volga.
