Emergency mode was introduced in Rostov-on-Don in the area of houses damaged by Ukrainian drones, Mayor Alexander Scriabin said on September 2 in his Telegram channel.
"A decision has been made to introduce an emergency regime within the boundaries of the area where houses were damaged," he wrote after an extraordinary meeting of the Emergency Committee.
According to him, the work of the operational headquarters and the damage assessment commission has also been organized, and an apartment-by-apartment inspection is underway. The municipal services have been tasked with cleaning up the surrounding areas of the accident site.
Earlier in the day, the acting governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar, reported that at night the air defense forces repelled a drone attack in Rostov and surrounding areas, multi-storey buildings were damaged. The authorities evacuated 320 residents to temporary accommodation facilities. According to the head of the region, three adults and a child applied for medical help, no one received serious harm to their health.
