The State Duma proposed to introduce a special procedure for enrolling repatriated children in schools

Dmitry Kuznetsov, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs and curator of the Volunteers of the World project, sent an appeal to Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education, with a request to introduce a special procedure for admitting children whose families are representatives of the indigenous peoples of Russia to schools. This was reported on September 1 by RIA Novosti with reference to the document.

"I ask you to consider the possibility of developing and introducing a special school admission procedure for children whose families are representatives of the indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation (historically residing in the territory of the Russian Federation), or who have such parents," the document says.

In addition, Kuznetsov recalled that on April 1 of this year, amendments to the Federal Law "On Education in the Russian Federation" came into force, related to the passage of mandatory testing for knowledge of the Russian language for the study of these educational programs.

He also said that children from families who are participants in state programs for voluntary resettlement in the Russian Federation are faced with a difficult Russian language proficiency test. It is clarified that he did not have specific criteria. The jobs themselves do not provide parents with such children.
