Greta Thunberg's flotilla headed back to Gaza after the storm

The flotilla of Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg left Barcelona and resumed its journey to the Gaza Strip, interrupted due to bad weather. This was reported on September 1 by the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.

The agency's staff at the port of Barcelona reported that the ships set sail again around 17:30 GMT (20:30 GMT). This will be the fourth attempt to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip this year, and, as stated, the largest ever attempt to break the blockade of the Palestinian region by sea in 18 years.

The association of activists was named the Global Flotilla of Sumuda (the Palestinian concept of resilience), they replaced the Flotilla of Freedom. The flotilla will be able to reach Gaza in advance by September 14-15.

During its progress to Gaza, about 70 vessels will join it in total, and delegations from 44 countries are taking part in the initiative.
