78 TV channel celebrates birthday with the opening of the season

Starting from September 1, viewers will see a new "Morning Show" and a new "Guide 78" on 78 TV channel. The premieres will not end there: new projects will appear on the air all week, including "Guide 78. The main event will be the launch of the new "Morning Show" on September 1 at 06:00. It features a new approach to morning prime time: four hours of live, seamless broadcast in the infotainment format. Presenters Andrey Gribov, Marina Lagutina and Andrey Yakovlev will discuss everything that is happening in the city at the moment. The Morning Show is both a challenge to ourselves and a creative experiment by our team," comments Alexey Sukhorukov, editor—in—chief of 78 TV channel. "I am sure that a new approach to the morning broadcast and a focus on the most up—to-date information will help us save viewers from fake smiles, useless advice and topics out of touch with life."

After the premiere of the "Morning Show", the audience is waiting for a new project — "Guide 78. Supermarkets". Presenter Alexander Gavrilov will go shopping at the largest chains to identify all the pros and cons of major retailers. The show will air weekly on Mondays at 1:30 p.m.

On the same day, September 1, at 19:30, the documentary series of St. Petersburg writer Ilya Stogov "The History of Soviet Fiction" starts. Viewers will find out why Ichthyander was almost named Ukhtiander, whether Professor Dowell had a wife at his head, and why the Strugatskys never became the Russian Bronte sisters.

Another premiere from the series "Guide 78" awaits viewers on Friday, September 5. Gid 78. Beauty is the first program on St. Petersburg TV that defends the rights of clients to quality services in aesthetic medicine.

On Saturday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m., the channel debuts a humorous show for the whole family — "No question." In the podcast format, host Artyom Medvedev will look for answers to the most curious questions: why the sky is blue, how urban pigeons create families, and why the ladybug was named that way and not otherwise.

And on Sunday, September 7, the audience will see a new edition of the St. Petersburg Detective. In a new episode, journalist Alexey Bagin investigates the case of a cache of weapons found under the Sputnik Hotel.

In addition to new projects and new releases of already beloved programs — "Telecurrier", "Paragraph", "Health", "House of Soviets" and "Week in St. Petersburg" — from September 1, the 78 TV channel presents an updated broadcast schedule. On Fridays, there will be a film screening — on September 5 at 20:00, viewers will see the comedy "Unlucky" with Pierre Richard and Gerard Depardieu, followed by proven French hits in September, and Soviet classics in October.: "The Treasure of the Republic", "Three in a boat, not counting the dog", "The Eldest Son" and "Truffaldino from Bergamo".

But new projects are not the only change in the season. 78 TV channel presents a new slogan — "We live in St. Petersburg".

"We were looking for an idea in one succinct phrase that could combine the work of the Izvestia 78 information service and projects aimed at solving urban problems, such as Telecurrier and Guide 78. At the same time, we have programs that reveal the city from an unexpected side — "The Other Petersburg" and the historical podcast "Paragraph". They all say the same thing: we don't just live in this city — we live in St. Petersburg, its people, stories, problems and victories," comments editor—in-chief Alexei Sukhorukov.
