- A resident of the LPR sent Macron a letter in response to his statements about Russia.
Luhansk resident Faina Savenkova, who has been under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for 11 years, sent a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron. This was reported by RIA Novosti on August 1.
In her message, she recalled that France acted as a guarantor of the Minsk agreements, but the agreements were never implemented. According to her, the promises of Paris and Berlin have not led to peace in Donbas.
"Hello, Mr. Macron! You once promised to achieve peace in the conflict in Donbas, as France was one of the guarantors of the Minsk agreements. But have France and Germany fulfilled their promises, and peace has come to us?… You accuse Russia of cannibalism, but is it really in Russia that the president has usurped power," her letter says.
