The Ministry of Education and Science will raise the student scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation to 30 thousand rubles

By the end of 2025, special category students studying full-time at Russian higher educational institutions in specialties corresponding to the scientific and technological interests of the Russian Federation will receive a new scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation in the amount of 30 thousand rubles. This was announced on August 31 by the Ministry of Education and Science.

"In the 2025-2026 academic year and beyond, the scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation will be awarded to 3,400 students, cadets and trainees <...> who study full-time at Russian universities in specialties corresponding to the priorities of scientific and technological development of Russia. The scholarship amount is 30 thousand rubles per month," RIA Novosti quoted a representative of the department as saying.

It is planned that the competition for an increased scholarship will be held from September to October, and its results will be announced by November-December 2025, at the same time, as specified in the ministry, the scholarship holders will be paid, including the amount from September 1, 2025.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science plans to introduce a new scholarship for 5.7 thousand students, cadets and students of universities and institutes in the coming academic year — its amount will amount to 20 thousand rubles.
