Igor Chaika may become head of the new department in the Kremlin
Igor Chaika, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, is considered a likely candidate for the post of head of the new Department for Strategic Partnership and Cooperation. This was reported by RBC on August 29, citing an official.
Insiders familiar with Chaika confirm the possibility of his appointment to this position in the Kremlin.
It is noted that it is premature to talk about the final decision before the official announcement of the decree, since interviews were conducted with many candidates, however, acquaintances of the politician claim that Chaika is ready for intensive work and is already showing high activity.
On July 8, the State Duma at a plenary session approved Andrey Nikitin for the post of head of the Ministry of Transport. It was clarified that 408 deputies voted for Nikitin's approval, there were no those who voted against or abstained.
