Vision systems need to be developed and implemented in all types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on August 29 by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, during a strategic session at the Era military innovation Technopolis.

"Russian enterprises have certain achievements in the field of technical vision. They are based on optical, optoelectronic and radar technologies. <...> Vision systems should be maximally integrated into all types and branches of the armed forces," he said.

According to him, for the introduction of vision technologies, it is necessary to generalize the experience of using such systems during a special military operation. Manturov stressed that for this it is necessary to study the technology of the enemy.

The First Deputy Prime Minister also inspected the exposition of the technopolis with developments of the military-industrial complex (MIC). It featured devices, systems, and hardware and software complexes designed to detect and recognize targets with the introduction of technical vision.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 12 that the Russian Federation needs to introduce advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence into weapons systems and military equipment. The head of state also instructed to maximize the use of their experience in the new weapons program. He also added that it is necessary to increase the export potential of Russian weapons, which have proven their effectiveness in combat operations.
