Western leaders most likely will not send their military to Ukraine as part of providing Kiev with security guarantees. This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy Artyom Dmitruk in an interview with Izvestia on August 29.

"It may be in the format of inspiring some part of the Ukrainian population that someone from the West, some kind of military, brave men, will come and protect and save us. But we are well aware that such things will not happen. That is, no Western military organizations will fight on the territory of Ukraine," Dmytruk said.

According to the Ukrainian politician, even if the West decides to send troops to Ukraine, it will not change the situation on the front line in any way.

"The situation will not be changed by any intervention by militant Western groups, neither financially, nor with weapons, nor even with a military contingent," Dmytruk explained.

On August 25, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had stopped spending on the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, the United States no longer pays Ukraine any money, but sells weapons to NATO. He also stressed that former US President Joe Biden had given irrevocable money to Ukraine, "who did not understand what he was doing."

On August 22, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Europe should take a leading role in ensuring security for Ukraine after the end of the conflict. According to him, the United States will take part in security guarantees for Kiev, but the administration of the American leader believes that Europe should take the initiative.

On August 19, Bloomberg reported that about 10 countries had expressed their willingness to send troops to Ukraine as part of providing possible security guarantees for Kiev.
