Coach Zhulin accused former IOC President Bach of "destroying" Valieva's career

Honored Coach of Russia Alexander Zhulin said on August 29 that former president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach "destroyed" the career of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva.

At the end of January last year, the CAS found Valieva guilty of violating anti-doping rules. The skater was disqualified for four years for using trimetazidine. Valiyeva's defense was based on the fact that the banned drug could enter her body with the dessert that her grandfather had prepared. The CAS found the version untenable.
