A bear attacked a mushroom picker in Primorsky Krai

A bear attacked a man who was picking mushrooms in the Chuguevsky district of Primorye near the village of Shumny. This was announced on August 29 by the Ministry of Health of Primorsky Krai.

"A resident of the village of Shumnoye in the Chuguevsky district was admitted to the Kavalerovskaya central district hospital after being attacked by a bear. The incident occurred on August 28 in the vicinity of the village of Shumny, when a man went to the forest for mushrooms," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the man was able to get out of the forest on his own and was taken to the hospital by relatives. Currently, the man's condition is assessed as stable.

It is noted that he received all necessary medical care, including vaccination against tetanus and rabies. At the moment, doctors at the Kavalerovskaya CRH are continuing his treatment. Transfer to other hospitals is not required.

Hunting experts are working at the scene, the ministry added.
