Architectural lighting will decorate 50 buildings in the center of Krasnoyarsk

Architectural and artistic lighting is installed on buildings and houses in Krasnoyarsk. The work is underway in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city, the press service of the Mayor's office reported on Thursday, August 28.

Illumination will appear on 50 objects. They are mainly located in the historical center, along Svobodny Avenue and the Krasnoyarsk Worker newspaper, Mikhail Godenko and Karl Marx Streets.

The lighting is part of the planned events to create a unified light image of the city, which started before the Universiade. She already decorates hundreds of city buildings.

All lighting equipment is energy—efficient. The light streams will be adjusted so that they will not shine through the windows and interfere with the residents of the apartments.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, in preparation for the holiday, the authorities of the regional capital decided to highlight 93 more objects in 2026.

Krasnoyarsk will celebrate its 400th birthday in 2028. The regional authorities have already approved a program of preparation for the anniversary celebration. There are plans, in particular, to renovate 15 cross streets in the city center, four of them in the current season.
