The Russian cyberpunk action film "Identification" about a programmer who has lost his memory is being widely released. Director Serik Beiseu does not hide the fact that he drew inspiration from the cult fantasy thriller "Remember Everything" with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the visual style from "Blade Runner" and "Upgrade".

The film begins with the awakening of the main character Leon. He ended up in a hospital room with no memory and a neurochip in his head. The new device allows him to control any technique, and also makes the hero a target for hunters for this innovation. Leon will have to remember the past and find out who conducted a cruel experiment on him and why.

"Family Ghost", 6+

The magical comedy with a pinch of mysticism and parental drama "Family Ghost" starts in cinemas. The film's director, Alexander Babaev, known for the soulful family films "Treasure of the Dwarves" and "My Dog's Business," offers viewers the story of the Canterville ghost adapted to Russian realities.

In the center of the plot is a former bank clerk, and now a loser illusionist Vasily Kirsanov. For the sake of a dream — a show on the level of David Copperfield — he persuaded his wife Svetlana to sell a spacious apartment and move into a cramped one-bedroom apartment with the children. The project has failed, and the housing issue threatens to destroy the family. Then fate throws the hero a tempting advertisement — a three-room apartment in the Stalin high-rise for a nominal fee. The Kirsanovs buy a house and at the same time acquire a ghost — a former football player named Serega.

Nikita Kologrivy plays a ghost with a character and a mental wound, and Oksana Akinshina plays the tired mother of the family. The creators promise to give the audience a kind story in which there is a place for laughter, aching sadness and hope.

"Operation Napoleon, 18+

Fans of intense films with historical overtones should take a closer look at the new thriller with action and adventure elements "Operation Napoleon". Director Oscar Thor Axelsson, known for the police series "Trap", promises an explosive cocktail of mysticism, history and espionage intrigues.

Kristin, a young Icelandic lawyer, finds herself at the center of an international conspiracy after being accused of a murder she did not commit. Trying to prove her innocence and unravel the crime, she discovers the wreckage of a German World War II aircraft on top of an Icelandic glacier.

Western critics have noted the cinematography of Arnie Philippousson, whose camera builds thin silhouettes of the characters against the backdrop of harsh volcanic rocks and dank ice, and the composing of Frank Hall, who complements the narrative with heavy melancholy.

"Operation Napoleon" is a film adaptation of the bestseller of the same name by Arnaldur Indridason. The audience is waiting for a confident old-school thriller with chases on the slippery surface of a glacier, secret negotiations in old Arctic stations and a government conspiracy.

"Exit 8", 16+

The Japanese psychological horror thriller Exit 8, based on the sensational game and considered an art hit, is being released in Russia. The premiere of the film took place in Cannes. The film became the first ever film adaptation of the game in the program of the film festival and received an eight-minute ovation after the first screening.

The main character suddenly finds himself trapped in an endless, sterile-white corridor of the Tokyo subway. There are rules on the wall: if you see an anomaly, turn back; if everything is as usual— go ahead. Hurry up or skip it, and everything will start all over again. His task is to find "Exit 8".

From the first frames, the viewer gets into a hypnotic loop: Ravel's "Bolero" sounds, the hero walks along the same corridors, and every movement becomes a test. The film does not use screamers, but the tension is built through a growing sense of an endless nightmare.

Exit 8 continues the list of intellectual thrillers, where the main characters turn out to be participants in a mysterious game. Just like in the Korean hit TV series "The Squid Game," the characters are putting their own lives on the line.

"Doctor of Dinosaurs", 6+

On the eve of September 1, Russian animators have prepared a gift for children and their parents — a colorful story about dinosaurs and family values.

The cartoon tells the story of the son of the hereditary paleontologist Phil Dinosaur. Unlike his father, he had never been interested in ancient lizards. He has more pressing problems: dealing with bullying classmates and unsuccessful attempts to meet girls. The lives of Dinosaurs change with the appearance of a strange egg that accidentally transports them to the Mesozoic era.

The heroes will have to survive among the monsters and return home, but for this they need to forget about their differences and learn how to work together.

The cartoon has a stellar voice acting. Sergey Garmash gave voice to Professor Dinosaur, who is affectionately called "Grandfather", Roman Kurtsyn voiced the energetic coach Superbratan, and showman Timur Rodriguez — a talkative vegetarian velociraptor Vegan.
