A resident of Ryazan was sentenced to five years for trying to obtain information for a militant intelligence officer of Ukraine that could harm Russia's security. This was announced on August 28 by the FSB Public Relations Center.
"It has been established that a resident of Ryazan proactively through Internet messengers <...> established contact with a representative of the Ukrainian special services and made purposeful attempts to obtain intelligence information that could be used against the security of the Russian Federation. The illegal activity of the woman was stopped by the FSB of Russia," the message says.
On August 27, a resident of the Timashevsky district of the Krasnodar Territory was sentenced to 13 years in a high-security penal colony for passing information about Russian military facilities to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The defendant was charged under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). He fully admitted his guilt.
