The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to pay an additional 10,000 rubles to the pension for work experience. As Izvestia found out, such a bill will soon be submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation (DG) by the LDPR faction led by Leonid Slutsky. The document will be sent for the government's opinion on August 28.

"As of January 1, 2025, according to the Social Fund of Russia, the total number of pensioners in the country amounted to more than 41 million people, of whom more than 33 million are recipients of old-age pensions. At the same time, the majority of Russian pensioners belong to low-income segments of the population. Some of them complain that there is not enough money even for the minimum necessities of life," says an explanatory note available to Izvestia.

The document notes that many of these citizens have devoted most of their lives to work, making a significant labor contribution to the social and economic development of the country.

In this regard, the draft law provides for the provision of monthly cash payments to pensions for citizens with employment (insurance) The length of service required for pension purposes is at least 35 years for men and 30 years for women, in the amount of 10 thousand rubles.

"People with high work experience should live with dignity, not counting a penny. This is the duty of the state to honored people! We have taken the initiative to provide our pensioners with a monthly additional payment of 10,000 rubles. Men with at least 35 years of work experience and women with 30 years of work experience will be able to count on it," Slutsky explained.

On August 27, the leader of the Fair Russia – For Truth faction and State Duma deputy Sergei Mironov proposed to abandon the system of individual pension points (IPK) and switch to more transparent and simple conditions for awarding pensions. According to the MP, pensions could be calculated based on three factors: length of service, level of earnings and working conditions.
