The Msta-B howitzer crew destroyed the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov direction

Calculations of towed howitzers "Msta-B" of the North group of forces, while performing firing tasks, destroyed temporary locations with manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special military operation (SVO) in the Kharkov direction. This was announced on August 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Our main task is to cover the state borders and infantry units," said the gunner of the Msta—B howitzer with the call sign Melon.

After receiving the coordinates of the targets, the howitzer crews deployed the guns and prepared them for firing. With the help of aerial reconnaissance data, it was possible to hit the concentration sites of the Ukrainian military. At the end of the operation, the gunners hid the howitzers to avoid enemy detection and return fire.

During the operation, scouts using drones recorded the retreat of Ukrainian forces from fortified positions. This contributed to the advance of the motorized infantry for a further offensive.

Unmanned platforms with electronic warfare systems are on duty in firing positions, suppressing enemy UAVs and saving the lives of gun crews.

On August 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Tornado-S destroyed camouflaged ammunition depots, military equipment, artillery pieces and temporary deployment points with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the SVO. The destruction of the target was confirmed by a reconnaissance group using a drone.
