Miley's motorcade was pelted with stones at an election event
Protesters gathered at a public election event, threw stones at the motorcade of Argentine President Javier Miley in Buenos Aires. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 27.
"The president was standing in the back of a moving pickup truck. Some people in the crowd started throwing things, and at least one stone hit the hood of the truck. Other objects could be seen being thrown over the president's head," the publication says.
It is specified that in addition to Miley, his sister Karina Miley and members of the presidential security service were in the car. At the time of the incident, the car increased its speed and hurriedly drove through this section of the road. Following the departing motorcade, people shouted slogans and called on the current head of state to "go away."
France 24 reported on June 12 that a protest rally in Buenos Aires escalated into a clash with law enforcement officers. The rally took place outside the Argentine Congress building, where new reforms developed by Miley were being discussed.
