- Kharchenko spoke about the attention of teachers in the Kursk region to the safety of children
The pedagogical community of the Kursk region focuses not only on the quality and accessibility of education, but also on the safety of children. This was announced on August 27 by Ekaterina Kharchenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education.
On Wednesday, August 27, a festive event dedicated to the Day of Russian Cinema took place at the Summer on Polugor site in Kursk, as well as the final stage of the annual All—Russian campaign "Get your Child Ready for School", which is being implemented as part of the United Russia party project "New School". The main part of the celebration was the presentation of backpacks with school supplies to primary school students from 110 families. The children were also given notebooks with stories about historical figures and sweets.
This campaign is aimed at supporting military families, as well as families in difficult situations. In particular, support is provided to large families, low-income families and families who raise children with disabilities.
According to Kharchenko, the day was dedicated to the ecosystem of education in the Kursk region.
"Of course, we are ready for September 1, despite the difficult situation in the region. The focus of the teaching community is not only on the quality and accessibility of education, but also on the safety of our children, because children are the most valuable thing in every family, every mom and dad," Kharchenko said.
One of the guests of the event, Andrey Agarkov, who is the father of six children, called the campaign a good help for parents. He especially noted that it helps large families a lot.
Lyudmila Boychenko, a mother of four children, in turn, shared that she had seen information about the action on social networks, filled out a questionnaire and was very glad to be invited to the event. She noted that this initiative would be a great help for her family.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin assessed the schools' readiness for the start of the school year. According to him, all planned activities were completed on time. The Russian leader also clarified that special attention was paid to preparations for September 1 in the border regions and those reunited with the Russian Federation. He called security measures a priority.
