More than 2,500 people will take part in the "Race of Heroes" in Tula

August 30 at the Nekrasovo Outdoor Recreation Park (Tula region) The traditional steeplechase "Race of Heroes" will take place. More than 2,500 people will take part in it.

The Race of Heroes is one of the most massive projects in our country, and we have already visited many cities and regions with it, always receiving a warm welcome from local residents. In many ways, this is facilitated by a strong partnership with local sports influencers. We are very pleased that we were able to enlist the support of the AKM hockey club in Tula. This is a recognizable team in the city with rich hockey traditions, which is highly respected by the fans. We are proud of the opportunity to cooperate with such a respected sports brand of the Tula region, as it also helps to increase the recognition of our brand in the region," said Igor Kaktysh, head of Heroes Race.

The sports partner of the event is the Boris Petrovich Mikhailov Hockey Academy, a Russian professional hockey club from the Tula Region, founded in 2019. Representatives of the club will take part in the opening ceremony of the event, the hockey players will hold pre-start warm-ups and autograph sessions, and the fan team will go to the start of the "Race of Heroes".

We are glad to be a part of such a vibrant event that unites people of different professions and ages around sports, team spirit and striving for new heights. I am sure that these competitions will give the participants not only a boost of energy, but also unforgettable impressions," commented Vitaly Zlobin, General Director of the Mikhailov Academy.

Participants will have to overcome an 8-kilometer track with 28 obstacles of varying degrees of difficulty for strength, agility and endurance. It includes traditional handgrips that require hand strength, fences, cargo transfer, moats, and obstacles made of water and mud. Also, to reach the finish line, you will need to crawl under the barbed wire, overcome the barrier of logs and crawl through the gap between the tires.

The Race of Heroes will traditionally be held in individual and team formats: more than 60 corporate teams will take part, including teams from the government of the Tula Region, the AKM hockey club, as well as the country's largest companies – Yandex, MTS, S7, Sber, Rosatom, etc.

There will also be a separate category of starts – the championship. About 225 participants will be divided into five categories – PRO, AGE 18-29, AGE 30-34, AGE 35-39, AGE 40+. The winners of each of them will be awarded with special prizes and gifts from the League of Heroes and the partners of the competition.

Anyone over the age of 18 can take part in the "Race" in one of two formats: individually in a mass start or as part of a team of 10 people accompanied by a professional instructor.
