The most popular domestic cars in Russia are named

Lada Granta has become the best-selling model on the market of new domestic cars in Russia in seven months of 2025. During this period, 81.2 thousand copies of Granta were sold (29% less than a year ago). This was reported on August 27 by the analytical agency Autostat.

Lada Vesta is in second place with a result of 49.6 thousand cars sold (-31%). This is followed by Lada Niva Travel SUVs (18.7 thousand units; -36%) and Lada Niva Legend (18.3 thousand units; -32%). The Lada Largus station wagon closes the top five domestic bestsellers (15.3 thousand units; an increase of 21 times).

The second five of the rating was opened by Moskvich 3 (7.1 thousand units), the volume of its sales decreased by 24% year-on-year. At the same time, sales of the St. Petersburg-made Solaris HC crossover (an analog of the Hyundai Creta) increased 24-fold (to 4.6 thousand units). They also increased for the Xcite X-Cross 7 crossover (4 times to 4.6 thousand units), which is a copy of the "seventh" Chery Tiggo, and for the Solaris KRS sedan (20 times to 3.5 thousand units), an alternative to the Kia Rio. The top ten was completed by the UAZ Patriot SUV (3.2 thousand units; -32%).

In total, from January to July, 219.7 thousand new passenger cars of domestic brands were sold in Russia (-19%), Russian brands accounted for 33.8% of the total market.
