The State Duma announced an increase in some pensions in 2026

Pensions for the disabled, for citizens over 80 years of age, insurance pensions and survivor's pensions will be increased in 2026. Alexey Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, told about this on August 27.

"Pension indexation in Russia is fixed by federal laws and annual government resolutions. Different types of payments have their own dates: social pensions are reviewed on April 1, non—working insurance pensions were traditionally indexed at the beginning of the year, and from 2026 a two—stage procedure is introduced for them - February 1 (according to the actual inflation of the past year) and April 1 (additional revision, according to the Social Fund of Russia)," he said. in an interview with TASS.
