Portuguese bullfighter Trindadi was killed by bullfighting
In Lisbon, 22-year-old bullfighter Manuel Maria Trindadi died during a bull show. This was reported by the Daily Mail on August 26.
"A famous Portuguese bullfighter died when an enraged 1,500-pound (680 kg) beast. — Ed.) grabbed him and slammed him against the wall," the article says.
Footage from the scene shows how the "young forcado" (a unique style of bullfighting in Portugal, during which bullfighters do not use any protection or weapons. — Ed.) runs to the animal in order to provoke an attack. After that, the bull ran towards Trindadi at high speed. The man tried to grab the beast by the horns and take control of it, but the bullfighter was lifted into the air and thrown against the wall of the arena.
Paramedics quickly ran into the arena to provide Trindadi with the necessary assistance, but the man suffered too serious head injuries. He was rushed to the San Jose Hospital and put into an induced coma. As a result, the man died from irreparable brain damage.
Earlier, on August 10, in Zvolen, Czech Republic, a lion escaped from a private zoo and attacked a keeper. It was clarified that the man suffered minor injuries. Upon arrival at the scene, police officers had to use their service weapons and neutralize the animal.
