A memorial plaque in honor of the Soviet submariner Marinesko was damaged in Odessa.
In Odessa, vandals damaged a memorial plaque erected in honor of Soviet submariner Alexander Marinesko. This was reported by the Ukrainian newspaper "Intent" in the Telegram channel.
The publication published a photo showing how vandals cut out a part of the board where it was written: "From 1921 to 1935, Alexander Ivanovich Marinesko, a submariner, Hero of the Soviet Union, lived in this house. 1913–1963».
A memorial plaque is installed on the house on Sofiyevskaya Street, where Marinesko lived.
Earlier, on April 13, vandals in Odessa threw a noose over the monument to the poet Alexander Pushkin. It is noted that such an act of vandals caused indignation on the part of residents.
