- In Russia, from September 1, the rules for obtaining a hunting ticket will be tightened
Starting from September 1, mandatory testing for registration of a hunting ticket will be conducted in Russia. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
"Starting from September 1, 2025, citizens who receive a hunting permit for the first time and those who have legally lost such a document are required to undergo a knowledge check," the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
According to the agency, applicants could previously receive a ticket after reviewing the minimum requirements and simply signing the document. It is specified that the exam includes from 100 to 200 questions. The content of the tests is based on a list of questions approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia.
The department added that the exam time depends on the number of questions, and one answer is given in less than a minute. To pass the exam, you must score at least 75% of the possible number of points, while you cannot use any literature or search for information on the Internet.
It is noted that testing can be done both electronically and on paper.
On February 25, it was reported that the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) may extend the deadline for submitting applications for a hunting license. It is specified that instead of three weeks, it will be 30 days.
