An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred in Kamchatka

A significant earthquake of magnitude 6.2 was recorded in Kamchatka. On August 24, the Kamchatka branch of the FIT of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences announced this in its Telegram channel.

The seismic event occurred at 18:48 local time (9:48 Moscow time) at a distance of 419 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

It is specified that the earthquake was located at a depth of 33.9 km. There was no information about damage or casualties.
