The Central Election Committee (CEC) of Moldova has approved two voting points for citizens of the republic in Russia. The relevant resolution was published on the CEC website on August 24.

Both polling stations will operate in Moscow. Parliamentary elections will be held on September 28.

As the Sputnik Moldova agency notes in the Telegram channel, there are about 300 thousand Moldovan citizens living in Russia who could take part in the voting.

On August 17, Moldovan diasporas from Russian regions appealed to the country's authorities responsible for holding parliamentary elections, and also wrote letters to international organizations asking them to increase the number of polling stations. It clarifies that the Moldovan diaspora in the Russian Federation requires the opening of the required number of polling stations, as well as strict observance of all norms excluding restrictions on the voting rights of Moldovan citizens.
