Musk announced the discovery of the source code in the Grok 2.5 AI model

xAI's Grok 2.5 artificial intelligence model is now available in open source, the company's owner, entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk announced on his X social network page on Saturday, August 23.

"The Grok 2.5 model, which became our best model last year, is now open source," he wrote.

Musk also noted that the source code of the Grok 3 model will be revealed in about six months.
