CNN reported about 50 injured in an overturned bus accident in the United States.

A tour bus traveling from Niagara Falls to New York overturned on a highway. 50 people were injured, and one child died. This was reported by CNN on August 22.

The accident occurred near the city of Pembroke, east of Buffalo. According to the New York State Police, the bus was traveling east, the driver lost control and drove off the roadway.

"Unfortunately, several deaths have been confirmed. We also believe that there is a child among the dead," said New York State Police spokesman James O'Callaghan.

According to him, some of the passengers were trapped inside the vehicle, while others were thrown outside. The bus was seriously damaged. Emergency services personnel, including rescue teams, medical services and the police, are working at the scene.

Police confirmed that most of the passengers were citizens of India, China and the Philippines. Interpreters were sent to the scene to assist in communicating with the victims. The driver was not injured.

New York State Governor Katie Hokul called the incident a tragedy and expressed her condolences to the families of the victims.

"Emergency response services continue to work on the spot, providing necessary assistance to all those affected," she said in an official statement.
